Yes, yes they did. I'm just so afraid of the day that I go to a pixar movie and my heart gets broken. Disney did it.
I'm sure they'll do fine after that. Brad Bird is still with them. Realize, Incredibles and Ratatoille weren't part of the original 5 and they both rocked the house.

I'm not even a big Pixar fan, but this was really great; I felt like I was just swept along from start to finish. The score was just as excellent as the animation too.
For me, when disney lost it really, was when people like Eisner and others who weren't animation heads got brought it. Plus Disney as a company became less animation focused, they got into their theme parks and merchandising, and money was coming from other sources so animation took a back seat. I don't think that will happen with Pixar, well least I hope it won't. Plus it took decades for it to happen with Disney.

The rat had the best name ever, I don't really like most of the pixar films, but I actually enjoyed this quite a lot.
I'm probably going to see this 3-5 times in theaters.
I haven't gotten to see it in theaters since the sneak preview. I need to go again for sure just not sure when I'll get a chance.
One of the most interesting consequences of Disney buying Pixar was that Pixar came in and overtook the Disney animation division. From what I've read, they removed anyone who didn't study art/animation and decreed that no more direct-to-DVD sequels (Lady & Tramp 2, Cinderella 2/3) were going to be made. We'll have to see if Pixar can bring back Disney's former glory, but with upcoming projects like The Frog Princess, they may be able to pull it off.
