    Pixar for President.

Well what happened was Lasseter was put in charge of the animation divisions and Pixar was allowed to remain its own entity with in Disney. I forget the exact title Lasseter was given but some one hasn't held that position at Disney since the time of Walt if I remember. Lasseter has already begun to make a difference, I remember reading that Meet the Robinsons was fairly well along into animation when Lasseter took over, he saw where they were at with the movie and made the director scrap a good percentage of what they had and re-write a huge chunk of the movie cause the villain just wasn't strong enough. The same article mentioned how with the Frog Princess something similar had happened but the director on that just kept refusing to make the changes and Lasseter dumped him and brought in a new director.
    Where I play

  3. The Frog Princess looks amazing.

Apparently he reinvigorated the 2D division at Disney after they sold off most of their original assetts under the Eisner's fiasco management. I want a really good 2D Disney movie again. Keep 3D out of it. I want an entirely new 2D classic. It's like a rebirth of the genre in a world gluttonous with cheap 3D animated shit.

  4. Still thinking if i should see it in theaters (since its playing 2 blocks away from me).

You have the best avatar ever.
Cigs from two months ago is dumb. I was especially pleased with the chara designs, given that most of Pixar's are really. really. bad. Brad Bird makes everything okay and he should be the guy.
also it was the best movie ever this summer.
    Donk

  6. This movie was excellent, and easily one of the best pixar has produced. While I didn't care much for the incredibles, brad bird really came back in a big way with this one. I loved the underlying theme to the movie, in order to be good you have to have passion in everything you do, and you can definitely see that passion coming through the animators in this movie.

The scene in which the critic flashes back to his childhood actually brought a tear to my eye. I also loved his little speech about critics.

This was the perfect antidote to that piece of shit Transformers movie.

Mine to. I found it very moving.

    Loved the movie.

  8. Thirded.

This movie was fantastic. Seriously a great story and superb animation. Best so far this summer, and I can't imagine anything topping it. Makes Shrek 3 look like the huge pile of shit that it is.

I hope that someday I can show this movie to my kids.

  9. This might have been the best animated movie I've ever seen. Can't really sum it up any better than that.

Me too. From laughing. Everyone in the theater must have hated me and my company for giggling uncontrollably at such a melodramatic moment.
