The game isn't that good to begin with.
The ps2 version has a lousy framerate and blurry graphics. It is odd they didn't improve on the engine since X-Men Legends I & II. Shame they didn't release the game on Gamecube, as X-Men Legends I & II ran better on that that platform, compared to the ps2.
I opted out on the 360 version as it was twice the price of the ps2 version. Also, the 360 is so damn noisy. (yes, I'm old)
Did you honestly not know going in that the PS2 (and Wii) version looks horrible? I mean, it's not like they didn't release enough promotional material for you to make an informed decision beforehand. (Plus you've denied yourself the awesome 360-exclusive downloadable characters, which I understand now come bundled in at no extra charge in the Gold Edition.)
I didn't check the versions before hand. It was a spontaneous buy when I encountered a sale at EBgames.
Sounds neat. There is an editon of Marvel Ultimate Alliance called Marvel: Ultimate Alliance: Gold Edition that has all 8 downloadable heroes and villains for the Xbox 360: Cyclops, Dr. Doom, Hawkeye, Hulk, Magneto, Nightcrawler, Sabretooth and Venom. It is currently available in the U.S. and Canada. It is currently unknown if it will be released in other areas of the world, such as Europe and Asia.

Dear lord, the Wii version was almost awesome.Nintendo characters in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
At one point, the Wii version of Activision's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (developed by Vicarious Visions) was going to feature Link and Samus Aran. However, the deal between the two companies fell through and the characters were cut from the final release.
UPDATE: An anonymous commenter asks: "Didn't Activision tell VV to put those characters without consulting Nintendo and expect Nintendo to approve "their great idea to show commitment to the platform?" I've heard similar things.
UPDATE NUMBER TWO: I can confirm the story in update one is true.
UPDATE THREE: Apparently, what Activision sent to Nintendo was the Nintendo characters in the PS2 version of the title, which might explain why the Nintendo said no.
Samus and Link in Gauntlet? FINALLY.
I picked up this game Friday for 15 dollars.
I want 32 dollars back.

Almost done with the achievements on this, just wanted to let everyone know that this game, while hilarious, is total garbage.
Isn't this like the 30th similar game Raven has made? What the fuck. Learn to not make shit.
I have to stress that multiplayer is really hilarious, like when Galactus grabs you and you break out, but the camera is so fucked up that you do this ballet pirouette out of his hand and miss the walkway completely and die... fucking priceless.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
