    Wait a second.

Are you telling me that you didn't accept the explanation that getting shot in the head twice, blown up, sitting in a coma for 10 years before waking up and killing more people, getting shot all up, back in a coma for a year, waking and killing more people, and getting busted outta the clink by the cult which worships you and the curse that makes you kill your entire family?

That wan't a good enough explanation for why OG Myers was evil?
I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

  2. My thoughts from the "Just Watched thread"

"Halloween 2. My god did Zombie lose so much from one film to the next. It was almost Ho1kC bad. Too many scenes where he forced Sherri on us (which normally isn't a bad thing, but in this movie it's fucking dumb) and a pretty fucking lackluster finale (since the previews keep saying this is the final chapter)."

There's one awesome kill where he stomps the fuck out of some dudes head. They show everything. The whole movie Mike see's Sherri with a pale horse and his younger self and they keep saying "get the family back together." But we see this like every 15 minutes. The the way his sister finds out they're related seemed pretty tacked on. It's nice how they tried to show how Loomis is just in it for the money but Mike getting half his masked ripped off almost at the very end was a really dumb look for him. The way it was the rest of the movie was just fine.

  3. Hmm. As stated before, I'm a big Zombie fan, but I've had bad feelings about this movie for a while. I liked the first one a lot, but this one just didn't feel needed at all.

I'm going to see it tonight, so I guess I'll find out for myself.

  4. I hope you're using your buddies to get in for free. Not only did I get the tickets in advance (with a $1 pre ticket premium) but me and the gf both fell asleep during it.

  5. Of course I'm not paying.

  9. Okay, it sucked. Zombie finally put out a lame flick.

I dunno...it was just bad. Zombie's overall style, which used to be fresh, is now getting stale as fuck. Laurie turned into the most annoying character ever and I wanted her to die, fucking bitch with her tramp stamp tattoo and Hot Topic wardrobe and "I WANNA PARTY" bullshit. The kills were random (in the original Mike only killed those in his way, now he goes out of his way to kill nobodies) and while brutal, lacked any style. Just STAB STAB STAB REPEAT. You didn't give a shit about anyone Mike killed, moreso here than any recent slasher movie. The characters were just interchangable hunks of meat.

BTW, ghost mommy and her white horse were just horrible ideas. Aside from blatantly ripping off Jason's mommy complex, the surreal shit was cheesy and didn't gel with Zombie's otherwise gritty and realistic style. It was interesting how little Mike would appear and answer for grown-up Mike, however.

The original Halloween had a very self-contained story. This movie ruined that. It didn't need to be made.

Shit, I was waiting to see what you had to say about this and I was hoping it would be positive. A friend is wanting to go see this tonight and now I don't even know if I want to go...I've had a pretty shitty day and I'm not sure if I can handle a bad Zombie flick.
