Nacho Libre

I will not be seeing this movie. I actually like most of Jack Black's movies, and I consider High Fidelity and Orange County to be excellent films. However, I can't get passed the fact that Napoleon Dynamite is the WORST film EVER made. I can't think of any film that is less funny and more overrated than Napoleon Dynamite. Since Nacho Libre is from the Napoleon people, I believe I shall be skipping it.

Napoleon Dynamite is incredibly overated, this is true. But I don't think it is a terrible movie. Its cute and sometimes humorous, but poorly done without much of a plot.

I am more interested in Nacho Libre, however. Starting off, I love Jack Black. Secondly, this is actually supposed to be a kids movie. This might seem like wierd thing to make me interested in a movie, but essentially that is what Napoleon Dynamite should have been, and I am not sure why college aged kids latched on to it. Also, I love luchadors, so they better not fuck this up.

It will probably be retarted though.

Jack Black + funny mustache = hilarity. I don't expect this to be as funny as School of Rock, but that's a hard act to follow.

I hated Napoleon Dynamite, but the huge fucking 50+foot ad plastered on the Garden that I see 2x a day makes me want to see this movie.

Jack Black is awesome. I'm going to see Cars next weekend (awesome movie, I have little doubt otherwise) and Nacho the next weekend. This movie season is turning out amazing. M:I:III, DaVinci Code, X3, Cars, Nacho Libre all within about a month and a half.

Where are you seeing this? I've watched all of the trailers and I've yet to see anything resembling "funny".

It's a bad movie, no doubt about it. But it's funny, and as taken as purely comedy it is funny, therefore good. It is very over rated, though, which is surprising since I couldn't get anybody to go to the movie when it was in theaters. I had free tickets to an advanced screening, too.

I liked Napolean Dynomite. Is it over-rated? Probably, but I like it cause its funny ... IMO. But Nacho Libre looks more funny due to a more broad appeal.. A Monk turns wrestler.

Napolean Dynomite was more focused on the geek you knew at school. And how querky they were.
