Your mom got flicked by a second stick.
To boldly go where lots of men have gone before...
His mom gets that business; and I agree with him about GoW's use of the second stick.

I hated that. It meant you had to take your thumb off the more "important" buttons to dodge. I think dodging is much more intuitive in NG and DMC3. Not that it really mattered in GoW since the dodges were these huge, imprecise things.Originally Posted by diffusionx
But I guess the idea of having a special set of commands mapped to a stick can be cool.
It remains to be seen if the games controlled poorly, or if people just aren't used to new controls. Sony's motion sensing didn't seem to work well in their presentation, either.
No gnus is good gnus.
Personal observation- the controls on both Warhawk and the Wii are fine, it's just that all videos seem to be of people getting used to the controller.
I played Warhawk twice. The first time I bobbled around like a drunk for a while, then got down to playing. The second time was much easier, I just picked it up and started shooting things. I've still no idea how the Sony press conference guy managed to screw up his take-off that badly.
As for the Wii, it's easy too. The biggest problem was getting over my preconceptions of how it worked, more like a mouse than lightgun. Using small, quick movements rather than broad strokes improved accuracy quite a bit as well.
