The point was trailers now a days show more of the film than there needs to be. Berringer was just using Dark City as an example of what a good trailer should be. I would also recommend Cloverfield as a good trailer. I mean the one first one shown before Transformers.

And yeah, I get the point Berringer and Advocate are making about trailers. I don't entirely agree, however- I like trailers that tell you what's going on.

I liked Dark City a lot, personally. Better premise than The Matrix, some cool design work going on.
Its trailer did not work, based on the box office of the movie. People don't go to see movies they know nothing about.
