what the hell happened in here?
Boo, Hiss.
When i saw the movie again a few days ago, i thought to myself, "i can see why not many people like this movie." but i love it all the same.
Sometimes Stephan is a twat. i can relate though, i've felt exactly like he does. It hurts, a lot. Stephanie isn't beautiful, she isn't a wonderful person but, like Stephan says, she does things with her hands, and everyone who doesn't is boring. It's distressingly hard to find someone who arts or crafts something interesting.
Stephan isn't a good person either, he's a little boy that grew up. He's got things he wants to say, but he knows no one will care. That hurts too. You've got something that's so great to you, but you know no one else will like it, and it eats you up. and you want someone like it but you're afraid no one will.
And some parts, like when the little pony is running around the room or when he's talking to Stephanie in his sleep, or the beginning when he talks about his dad, something about it really hits me, right in the heart.
It's not pretentious, it's only itself true to the bone. The movie's either for you or it's not for you. Stop being asshole jerks about it.

lol that description sucks.
Nah, just kidding, Finchers. I see where you're coming from. And I can see how one might relate to a lot of those things, even myself, if they didn't choose to make Stephan such an obnoxious, unlikeable piece of crap. I wasn't impressed with much of anything in this movie, and usually bored, but that was the biggest deal breaker for me. If I'd just been able to *like* the main character, I might have more easily gotten past some of the other flaws.
This would have been awesome if it took a Jacob's Ladder turn for the dark
Boo, Hiss.
I still think this movie is a masterpiece and I will make a heart of felt and twine for Finch.
