no. The Adamatium process usually killed the patients. Wolverine's healing factor is what kept him alive.

His healing factor has nothing to do with what's keeping the metal on his bones now. Because the metal is BONDED to his fucking bones.

But doesnt the adamantium on his bones, occupy a good chunk of his healing factor, keeping his mutation in check?which is why he didn't go all feral until it was gone. or am i tripping?

In the comic, after Magneto ripped the Adamatium from Wolvie, his healing factor went into overdrive because it no longer had to constantly deal with all the metal in his bones.

Without the Adamatium, Wolvie's healing factor can pretty much handle anything. There was an issue where he got run over by a car and he was healing faster than he was getting crushed.

I'm not surprised...Wolvie's healing seems different depending on which asshole is writing for him at any given time. One time he got burned down to a skeleton, then healed right on up and killed the dude who did it to him like 5 minutes later. wtf.

While I haven't read Marvel in years I remember it as Dole does. They claimed that his healing factor with the adamantium is always having to counter the adamantium poisoning, so with out a healing fact he would indeed eventually succumb to adamantium poisoning and die.

hes also survived a orbital drop from a exloding spaceship. and, didn't he also survive getting pretty damn close to the sun. i remember him holding jean, approaching the sun and all his skin being burned off. i think he was waiting for her to get 5 bars, than she woke up and did her thing.

It has nothing to do with this discussion, but one of my favorite scenes in comics involved Punisher incapacitating Wolverine by rolling over his lower half with a steam roller and parking it on him.

I remember an old issue of X-Men that I read as a kid where Mystique is training in Arcade's Murderworld against X-robots who perfectly mimic their counterparts, and she kills the Wolverine-bot by slitting it's throat, saying "your healing factor isn't enough to stop you from bleeding to death." Now, according to Wolvie's wiki page, he fucking survives point-blank atomic bomb blasts. lol.

Yup. Used to be you could kill him basically like a regular human if he took enough damage. He was a more interesting character at the time too.
