Thread: Bit Generations

  1. Bit Generations

After disappearing for a while Nintendo has put up the web page for their Bit Generations line of oddball GBA titles. I guess they will be released on July 13 and 27th in Japan for 2000 yen. No word on a US release.

Didn't these used to have a different name? I'm still looking forward to trying them although I doubt the general public will want to play games that resemble abstract stuff from 1984.

  4. Here's a movie.

They look... okay. Probably not $20+ okay, though.

  5. These look like a bunch of random Flash games people can find on the web.

The only innovation here is Nintendo finding a market where they can sell this shit off for twenty dollars a go.

  6. I am interested, but if each one of these games are each sold separately, rather than one cart being "series 1" and another "series 2," then I gotta say pass. These should be games that you pay $5 for and then download them or something.

  7. Looks pretty neat, like a cool cart to have plugged into your DS Lite if it didn't painfully stick out

I'm pretty sure most people were expecting innovation with these games. Like the games will shit your pants for you or something. I'm hoping they'll be released in the states for not more than twenty bucks for all of them. Aren't Japanese gba games normally around 40 to 50 bucks?

I played the first three games briefly.

Boundish doesn't really do enough differently to make me want to play Pong for the millionth time. I might play it occasionally if it was included with other games but I wouldn't buy it separately.

Dialhex is a neat variation on the falling block puzzle genre; I'm not big on these kind of games so I wouldn't pay much for it but this seems like it has some depth to it.

Dotstream I really like. It's a simple 2d racing game of sorts but the presentation is quite appealing. It's a cool game to space out on if you don't want to play something complex.
