Thread: Criticom's brother has a message for us!

  1. From what I've read, the gov't seems to think it has a very good case (not that that is necessarily reliable), but it sure sounds like they've got something more in their pocket than just some lame videos.
It sounded like that with Jose Padilla, too.

I might have gone with Richard Jewell, but yeah, same idea. Hence, my statement that the government isn't an especially reliable source. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if they've got some pretty compelling evidence. Personally, I don't have any sympathy for U.S. citizens (or anyone else) openly and actively supporting declared enemies of our country. As for the proof of treason, I guess we'll wait and see.
    "Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"

  3. From the first paragraph of the news story:

For the first time, a former Orange County, Calif. teenage rock music fan has revealed his role as a top al Qaeda leader.
What in the fuck does his being a "former teenage" and "rock music fan" have to do with anything?
So apparently living past 19, and listening to 'rock music' is very suspicious activity?
    Boo, Hiss.

  4. All of the old articles scream about how his "demonic metal music" was somehow a factor in his being a terrorist.

No they don't, they said he started attending an OC mosque and turned to radicalism shortly thereafter. Stop looking for shit that ain't there.

  6. Okay, sorry, I was making a joking statement about how SEVEAL of the linked articles and things you Google his name on all point out (quoted) 'demonic death metal music' as if it is somehow relevant. I clearly don't fucking think his taste in music has anything to do with his faith/whathaveyou. I thought it was hilarious how some of the less-respectable news sites made that a focus in some of the short stories.

  7. Mammals in general tend to take care of thier own in any way they are capable within reason. Humans are simply more capable of doing so. Curing illnesses with medicine, for instance helps humans more than just the act of curing one human. It's not totally selfless and not at all contrarian to "survival of the fittest."

But the question is, do you think they should be killed for only supporting through speech? I'm not saying he isn't committing a crime, but is it a crime deserving of our harshest form of punishment?
    Time for a change

Demonic Death Metal Music doesn't support religion of any-sort. It's just like how Columbine was blamed on "Doom". People are so fucking stupid.

Exactly. Where other animals rely solely on their biology to change through evolution, allowing them to adapt to new threats; humans develop new technology to eliminate those threats, which leaves technology as a sort of scafolding to keep our biology up. It's not a problem as long as the technology is always there evolving with us.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.
