Wrestling games have fallen into this weird funk where it's like all companies are colluding to make totally crap games. Competition normally makes products better and cheaper. But it seems to be making wrestling games worse.

As mentioned, there's no competition, and there hasn't been for years.

This is true, but EA's made it public that they're going to be beefing up their quality assurance, moving away from movie licenced properties and more towards triple AAA, unique games.

This new NHL game seems to back up that mission statement.

I see nothing wrong with licenses, as long as it's a quality title... heck, this is technically a license game since it's the NHL license.

I really hope EA is serious about improving the quality of their products, because they pretty much have a monopoly on PSP sports games. And their stuff last year was wack.
