It's on the XBL video marketplace too, I've pondered renting it. Let us know how it is.
Seen it a while back. Its decent, but nothing special. The plot is pretty much standard fare, but I still liked it. Animation and style is nice though.
Yeah, I have thought about getting it from XBL marketplace also, but after seeing the trailer I'm picking up the DVD when I grab skate tomorrow. The art direction just seems completely insane.

I enjoyed the movie and reminds me of a combination of Sin City(style wise) and Appleseed. I rented this about a month or so ago and it makes a pretty good rental if you're into some futuristic investigator type cop flicks. I won't even get into the ending or how I feel about that.
Watched it tonight, and it was 50% awesome and 50% difficult.
The art style (which reminded me a lot of Killer7 in parts) and visual technology alone make Renaissance worth watching, but the story isn't nearly as accomplished. The film feels bleak, empty, and cold, but I'm not sure if that's due to how it's composed or the murky plot, awkward dialogue, and flat vocal deliveries (even Jonathan Pryce and Ian Holm sound half asleep). Probably a little of each. My eyes were amazed, but my soul felt detached - the same way I felt after Sky Captain.
Anyways, if you like what you see in the trailers, check it out. An interesting plot and better developed characters would have made Renaissance completely mindblowing, but as it is, I think it's an experiment that half succeeded and half failed.
