Recently I started playing Backgammon after seeing it everywhere most of my life, and I have to say it's an amazing game. Lots of fun to play, great gambling element. I'd like to get a really nice quality board; there's an Italian company called DalNegro that makes some really fancy boards (check it out: www.dalnegro.com ). Anyone have any other board recommendations?
