I don't think figuring it out 5 minutes before the reveal counts as predictable. Something about that girl really annoys me. She and the Indian dude are my second least favorite story thread on the show.

Something that bothered me was when the dad mentioned a bunch of EC comics to the son. The dad was most likely a child of the eighties. EC hasn't been around since the fifties (comics-wise, not including Mad magazine), aside from reprints that you wouldn't just find at the local supermarket. Not at all a big deal, just seemed like some writer was just trying to shout out some obscure references. It bothered the comic geek in me.
Overall I love the show. It's nice to have a SF show that doesn't just adopt the Buffy formula, where something freaky goes on in town, new character you've never seen before is introduced, he's the bad guy, town's saved at the end. (see Smallville, Buffy, Angel, Roswell, etc etc)

No thats the speculation he has a superpower and he may be the monster on the cover of the 9th wonders comic. Also its being speculated he has time travel abilities too. Or some power that noone knows about yet.

Heh, same thing I came to post myself. The part about Hiro jumping 6 months into the past is one I wish I didn't see, but I'll be happy I don't know why.

I agree. They are not advancing the script fast enough (it is the problem with all shows like this). I also really don't like the stripper either. Although I do think her son and hubby are interesting though. I'm really sick of everybody in general "not getting" it. I just want people to figure shit out so stuff can actually happen.
