    What was his first power?

  4. To see what is broken in various things, and even people. And be able to fix it. So he used it to fix himself, and aquire the power of the telekenesis guy and so on.

  5. Oh man i'm so lost...

  6. its kind of funny that they made him look like superman/ clark kent.

  7. This show is dragging out too much. I'm torn on this episode. Part of me likes how they used this opportunity to show everyone's life before becoming aware of their powers, but there are so many characters the show has to spread itself so thin to cover them all. I would have preferred to see the whole episode dedicated to Hiro and Charlie's relationship. Both shows progress terribly slow, but at least in Lost we get to go in deep with the characters.

I dont know, The roommates and I were comparing this to Lost last night, and decided that at least stuff actually happens in this series and the story progresses forward. From what I saw of Lost this season, that didnt seem to be the case.

And I thought, this time travel thing was a really good chance to get some insight into some of the characters' past. Sylar, Claires dad, that asshole Petrelli (you know which one) , the Niki/Jessica relationship (who knew she had a dead twin sister? Maybe Niki's power is to channel the angry deceased or something?), and Dr. Suresh.

Youre right in that the only thing I was dissappointed about was the Hiro Charlie relationship just didnt seem to be fleshed out enough. I guess we can assume they got real close in Hiro's time in the past but still...

Two other curiosities I had about this episode though:

    - Charlie mentioend she had an inoperable tumor or something in her brain, the telekinetic that Sylar killed said he had the same thing didnt he? Are we to assume that everyone with powers is on a ticking clock, and maybe thats why Sylar feels the need to "repair" everyone (well that and he's jealous and wants all their power).

    - Hiro going back in time created a big wtf for me the more I thought about it. Did Charlie just not remember him from six months ago when he came to the restaurant in the present. Kind of weird for someone with the power of great memory. Seems like the writers should have accounted for that and made her, I dont know agknowledge him or something. OMGPARADOX -

actually they should have just not done the Hiro trying to change time thing if nothing was gonna come of it...It didnt make any sense for his powers to just reverse and shut off, he already changed shit by just being there (with the picture and all)

I thought it was a brilliant use of time in the way they combined Hiro's time travel plot with the rest of the characters pasts or "origins".

I've missed quite a few episodes so I didn't know about Sylar until 2 episodes ago but the telling of his story was pretty interesting and I liked the way Claire's powers were tied to her dead sister.

Nikki, not Claire. But yeah, I felt that the 6 month gimmick worked well. Any guesses as to who gets offed next episode? I'll go with the painter (Isaac?). I figure if I can barely remember his character's name, the rest of the viewing audience doesn't care much about him either, so he's safe for the writers to kill off. Then again, 24 has shown that no character (aside from Jack F'in Bauer) is safe.
