The big difference between the PSP and the DS is that most games on PSP are $40 to $50 while most DS games I buy are about $30. The other difference is that there are a lot more DS games that look appealing to me while a lot of PSP games strike me as "I'd like to give it a try, but I'm not going to spend that much money on it."

For me, the perfect example would have been Mega Man Powered Up. That is a PSP game I would have been happy paying $40 for. It would have deserved it, in my book. Stuff like Lemmings, which I think looks like a lot of fun, just don't seem to be worth $40 in my eyes. I dunno. I'm confussing and pissing myself off at this point.

  2. I was in game stop the other day and when a woman asked why 360 games are 10$ more than new ps2 games. And the Salaried employee that was playing with his keys explained to her it’s because they were in hi def now. I sincerely hope people don’t believe shit like that.

  6. I think this is only because Atari is on death's door and they figure a $40 price tag will earn them more sales and higher profits in the long run, especially if they can bank on microtransactions. Though I played the TD:U and really liked the whole idea of a free roam racer. The only thing missing was there was no rumble... wtf? Gearing up for the PS3 port already?

That's just not true though. There have been maybe 5 $50 games on PSP, and GTA was the only noteworthy one. Everything else is $40 or less. DS games have MSRPs of $35.

The only 50 dollar psp games I ever saw were EA titles and GTA. But I DO see a lot of DS games for 30$.

Right, but they dropped to $30. Not very many at all launched at that price.

  10. Pretty much only 1st party Nintendo games come out at $35. And those are always on sale for $30 or less for the first few weeks at least.
