if certain games aren't running in mame to your liking, you can always configure a frontend to use different emulators for different games (ie nebula for neo-geo, raine for shmups, etc.)
Aaah, gotcha. I was always under the impression that they basically went for accuracy from the get-go, but that makes sense.MAME gets slower as time goes on and the versions advance. When a system is pushing it, the people writing the drivers will make more compromises in the name of optimization, but then the will rewrite the drivers later to be more accurate and easier to understand, as computers need that optimization less.

What are you cats using as a controller interface?
From everything I've read, it looks like www.ultimarc.com is the way to go.
Yea?

sorta off topic but this was discussed earlier in the thread...
After 2 years, the Nebula Model 2 emu was updated. The ATI mode is still not perfect, but it seems much better. And it's a lot faster. Pilot Kids and Zero Gunner look great.
Awesome. Pity it doesn't sound likely about the remaining games on the other variations of the hardware.
Where do you go for general emulation news, Frog?
ultimarc is the best way to go for pretty much everything (arcade vga, ipac, jpac). I got their economy ipac which is a great deal for $35, but later on I wanted to add a 3rd and 4th player which the economy version doesn't accomodate. I saw some logitech usb controllers for $10 at target that had 8 buttons or so that looked like a decent interface (although I don't know how easy the pcbs are to solder to).Originally Posted by Kidnemo
Yeah, seconded. My iPac is rockin' so far.
I have the standard ipac and love it. Beats soldering controller pcbs.Originally Posted by Kidnemo
www.emuhq.com is the best in terms of being up to date and comprehensive, but the minimalist headlines sorta suck. www.emulation64.com is my backup. Little easier to read, that one.Originally Posted by Tain
