Thread: Stop-Motion Space Invaders/Pong

  1. Stop-Motion Space Invaders/Pong

    Discuss.

It might get taken down, as the creator apparently complained and the videos were removed from Youtube and other places, but it's up at Kotaku for now.

  2. That was awesome, just too damn long.

  3. I saw this last week, still awesome. It does run way too fucking long though.

  4. I'd be more impressed if they actually got up and moved each time. They only had to sit in each of those seats once and then just copy the graphics into flash or whatever. Hardly "stop-motion".

Fer real. If I made a video and I thought people were watching it, it'd be pissed to.

*spends 2 months making a video of his own*

*locks it away in the furthest reaches of his harddrive*

If they didn't then they copied multiple positions for each seat, because a number of them don't line up. For instance, notice the green ship in Space Invaders during the beginning and how the arms differ in the same seat at different times. At one point one guy's arms are almost crossed, and they don't at any other time in that same seat when travelling back and forth. A lot of the movement on the arms doesn't match up moving back and forth.

It's possible they did all of that and randomized the positions to give the same effect but that strikes me as retarded since they'd have to create redunancies in a number of the seats which could take even longer then just moving. Either way it took four hours to film.
