If they didn't then they copied multiple positions for each seat, because a number of them don't line up. For instance, notice the green ship in Space Invaders during the beginning and how the arms differ in the same seat at different times. At one point one guy's arms are almost crossed, and they don't at any other time in that same seat when travelling back and forth. It's possible they did all of that and randomized the positions to give the same effect but that strikes me as retarded since they'd have to create redunancies in a number of the seats which could take even longer then just moving. Either way it took four hours to film.
