I bet tons of people will pay for this extended ad too. I bet EA will put this PPV special on a DVD and charge an extra $10 for the Madden 2007 special edition. Voila, stupid Madden fan boys will double dip and pay $70 for it on the 360. I know my friend would.

EA is smarter than us all in squeezing every last drop out of this franchise.

They already announced the "Hall of Fame" edition, so I'm sure it'll be on the DVD that comes with it... or better yet, it won't be, and no one will care, so they're spending more money to not even be able to "keep it forever."

Once the NFL came around looking for exclusivity, Sega folded. They didnt even want the sports franchises anymore. They didnt give a shit, so why should you?

Rumor has it than in Madden 2008, you'll only be able to play as your local (closest) team online. This is a "gameplay upgrade" so that Chicago fans are playing as the Bears, Miami fans as the Dolphins, etc. For a small $10 per team charge, though, you can add additional teams as playables. Also, to give enhanced features to owners over renters, the game will only output at 480p unless you register the game online. Registration will only cost $20.

Maybe you should be pissed at Sega for dropping the ball on the franchise.

I'm pissed that Sega (or somebody) isn't making "Joe Montana 2k7" without the team names (just Detroit, Boston, Miami, etc.) and player numbers (with actual players' stats), with fan-created downloads for proper team names, logos, etc.

Why would they even think about doing that. It would fucking get owned 100X over by Madden. But hey, the 2 fanboys would be happy. This game would lose 95-99% of the money that went into making it.
