Marxist, do you think my tax money goes to the fucking fire department? How do we know? they don't tell us how it's used.Originally Posted by Bojack

Liberals seem to think that throwing money at a problem fixes it, I would think that our Education system would be proof that this is not true. So, again, tell me why I should support another tax increase.
especially when Mccain wins by a landslide because half of these never own shit liberals don't vote.Originally Posted by SpoDaddy

Hopefully either McCain or Giulianni will get the nod; sending up McCain would truly neuter the socialist propaganda machine on the left though. The guy adopted a Bangladeshi baby, gg.
McCain is much stronger than you think. He won't tolerate socialism reforms, trust me.
BTW Reagan and Nixon, all day.
That's no different than how the Republicans spring an erection every time they hear the name Clinton.Originally Posted by SpoDaddy

This is without a doubt the WEAKEST slippery slope argument that's ever been presented on TNL. Truly, SpoDaddy's joke account is almost as constipated in his thinking as the original.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba
McCain had his chance, but he decided to drop to his knees and worship at the throne of Bush back when he thought that brand of politics was going to reign supreme for atleast another decade. Surprise, Johnny boy, you backed the wrong horse. His appearance at Liberty University was really the death kneel for his '08 presidential chance, much like the Schivo affair was Frist's.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba
Which is it? Reagan or Nixon? Those two are about as far apart ideologically as Republicans get. Both of them supported policies that people like SpoDaddy (and thus you) would cringe at; Nixon supported detente with the Soviets and Reagan gave immigrants blanket amnesty. Nixon also favored gun control and created both the EPA and OSHA.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba
You know, for such a diehard conservative you don't really seem to know too much about these people you idolize. Well, other than the fact that they had a little 'R' next to their name.
Actually, the federal budget is a matter of public record.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba

You can look in financial reports (usually called Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports or CAFR) and various other documents to find out where most of your tax dollars are going.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba

It's easy to prove that money has been spent unwisely, but that doesn't convince me that we should simply cut funding entirely. I would think the Defense budget, which is notoriously full of bloat and corruption, would be more than adequate proof of something that increases exponentially yet shows repeatedly that the money has been in many places wasted.Originally Posted by Biff_Pocoroba
So, again, tell me why my taxes should go to Halliburton and Boeing's C.E.Os?

Most of the conservatives (especially the super conservatives) are rarely well read/thought out people.Originally Posted by g0zen
