Lodoss War was decent, but you could've saved your seven bucks and bought Diablo II, which is a far superior game and pimped by pretty much everyone.

I had record of lodoss war for the dreamcast, and it was just an uglier D2 without the multi. Glad I sold that on ebay for a pretty penny.

I think TNL has kind of degenerated, too. The blame starts with entrepreneurs siphoning away (pseudo?)quality posters to do their write-ups as previews for fansites or mags. The rest ironically could be chalked up to maturity, finding better things to do with life than talking about playing games (how dumb is that?). Plus, there aren't many surprises left this gen, no more interesting announcements until TGS '06 or 2007. This summer has also seen the worst gaming drought in the past 5 years. And let's not forget how demoralized we all felt upon realizing that you weren't in fact an aspiring fchan guy like the rest of us. What a Yentl moment that was.
