It's funny cause Gooch keeps acting like any of us have whined, whereas my first comment was an observation about a team being extremely handicapped and that the game would have been closer or at least, more enjoyable (First half was great at the end) had the situation not been so.
In all fairness, it is an exorbitant amount of injuries to overcome, and I understand the Giants aren't the team they could be. But it was a lively discussion, so I couldn't stop myself.
The Bears are the best team in the NFC, but there are 3-4 teams with equal or greater talent in the conference who could very easily beat Chicago, home or away. If I had to pick the Super Bowl contestants today, I would have to say San Diego vs. Carolina. It's hard for me to go against Indy, especially since I placed a pre-season future bet that they'd get to the Super Bowl, but I have a bad feeling.
I don't feel sorry for anybody. I'm just saying the end result of getting suspended is the same as being injured: you're not going to be able to play that game for your team. That's all I care about, fuck the moral and ethical perspective.Originally Posted by Saint of Killers

The whole NFL looks shitty. It's called "parity," and it has ruined many a professional league.
The Steelers won a Super Bowl and looked shitty doing it. Salary caps ruin sports.
The NFL pretty much sucked 10-15 years ago. You may have not noticed because you're a Cowboys fan, and back then the league should have basically consisted of Cowboys and Niners because there was no point to all the other teams. But the NFL has grown enormously since then and parity is the biggest reason why. Sports don't need perennially shitty teams.
Tell that to the Browns pls.
