Tried the Small Arms demo this morning and was unimpressed. Seemed like nothing more than a Smash Bros. knock-off with uninspired characters. Am I missing something?

Combat is heavily weapons and projectile based, though. Fights don't pan out like a Smash Brothers battle at all. XBL multiplayer and the number of modes and weapons alone makes it worth the price.

meh, its not that bad. Worse games have had commercial releases. The art design is anus, as is the weapon balance.
The whole time I kept wishing for the new Smash Brothers game. We were two seconds away from loading Melee onto the Wii.
