I've had a lot more fun playing Quarter Matches...ranked matches are usually lame.

  5. Even with my NAT problems which force me to direct connect to play anything except Uno, I can play SFII with way less lag than I ever got in DOA4 or CvS2.

It still has more lag than MK: Deception, but that's the greatest online fighting game of all time, so it's to be expected.

The majority of the matches I've had have run great. The only problem I have are too many cases of "TIME OUT" when trying to start a match.

Also, what's up with Quarter Match? Usually when I go into one and it shows, what looks like, the game screen with all of our icons around it and it looks like it's going to show the next fight as I wait for my turn, it instead kicks me back to the lobby looking screen as the only indication of a fight I see is "match in process" displayed on the screen. Is this normal, or should I be able to view the fight that is going on?

That's what it does when you join a match in progress... after that, you can watch all the fights from that point on.

That's how it was in the arcade. It wasn't until Super that they had 6 per character.

This is after my initial match join and when the second match that is about to start. My gut feeling is it just drops me out from viewing to save on lag.

That's odd, but maybe you're right... oh well, it's not like this game isn't without it's issues.

Did they announce the amount of players for quarter matches before, or did we all just assume it'd be more than 4?
