  1. I'd like to say I won't be buying these again, but Tempest, Asteroids Deluxe, and Centipede with achievements will prove me wrong.

IAWTP. I wonder who has the rights to Tempest/Defender/Breakout 2000.

  3. Hopefully the "evolved" versions aren't the lame ones that were in the DS Atari Classics compilation.

  4. I'd buy Tempest for $5. Not sure about the other titles though.

  5. This is great news...Contra will be the first game I purchase on XBLA!! Its finally an old game that I am willing to overpay for Actually, the only other game I want on XBLA is Dig-Dug since its one of my all time favorites, but it seems a bit expensive to me...

  6. Hmm, $5 on Live vs. $5 on Wii's VC. I would really like to see how the two compare.

It's only comparable if the Wii allows multiplayer gaming online.

Well the 360 version of Contra is the arcade game and you can play it with new updated graphics in HD. The Wii version is the NES game thats probably not even 480p. Which do you think is the better value?
Korly-"Everyone here is an asshole, SURPRISE!"

  9. 400 pts sounds about right for Contra.

  10. This is going to own. I just bought Atari Anthology, which has 95 games or so (Including all of those games), for 12 dollars. The funny (or sad) thing is that I'd rather pay 5 dollars for one of those games to play it a) without a disc, b) with leaderboards, c) with achievements and d) with voice chat as opposed to running the original Xbox game and killing chat. As an aside, that Atari article mentions games that are slated to come out this year (which may or may not be accurate). Mutant Storm Empire is not one of the ones on the list, but was scheduled for a November release a long time ago. I really hope it makes it...I <3 that game.
