Thread: E3 is Finished

  1. I'll miss E3 as it is today. The crowds were nuts, but there's no other experience like it. I always went with the purpose of having fun while getting some work done, and that's just what I did.

  2. I'm glad I got a see a couple of E3s while it was in it's most extragavent stage. But it being toned down really should be for the best.

As long as Kentia Hall stays the same I'll still have fun for a couple of hours one day.

  3. Kentia Hall is the best reason to go to E3.

  5. I for one am a bit dissapointed to here this news. Many moons ago when I first heard about E3, it was immediately something I wanted to experience. I was fortunate enough to make my way there when I turned 18. It was an experience I'll never forget to say the least.

I'm still paying for it though.

  6. Financially or physically? I hear there are lots of after parties at E3.

Everyone at E3 really complains about the line-ups for such a short amount of face time with games. Maybe if they were more scrutinizing with who they let in (pro-tip, omfgninjas and kano have no business at a gaming show for the press if they don't report) then that wouldn't be as much of an issue.

But then the show's wouldn't be as much fun.

Kano did his most work ever in the weeks following E3 2004. I didn't do shit, but that's how I roll.

I think I'm Never Funny deserves a ban for this.

When TNL had an actual site and not just dilapidated forums, yeah, that was fine. Last year’s e3 had representatives from TNL and there wasn't even a main site up. Anybody who went to e3 this year for a neutered TNL and complained about long lineups had nobody to blame but themselves. If E3 is more select with who they allow in to the show it won’t be such a problem.

Though the Gaming Discussion forums are usually a lot more informative and easy to navigate than a jumbled site like IGN, most of that thanks to online feeds of the presentations and not reporters on the front lines.
