On the other hand, someone might say they prefer Nicholson's larger than life, charismatic super villain over the typical psycho that Ledger played.

  2. I kinda hate movies in general. I mean there's ones I like but even those I never go see at the theater because I don't like theaters. When my mom came to town I knew she was going to want to see a movie and I knew my brother would suggest this. I decided right then to just like it and not give a fuck because I don't. I can't even be bothered to care if was good, bad, better, worse. It's a 2.5 hour timesink with no bearing on my life. At this point I barely remember it beyond being good enough that I didn't feel like I should walk out until it was over.

  3. Kind of an odd way to put that on a site devoted to 10 to 50 hour timesinks.

  4. I never touch the stuff my friend.

I'd be right there with you. But we would be some campy fags... don't even front.

I'll be the serious one, then.

Totally - in the end it does come down to preference.
    "Hah, Greg, you're terrible!"

The way I think of it, Joker's methods are just as mysterious and implausible as Batman's in this universe. Except Batman Begins explained in detail-- to us, but not to Gotham-- how he makes everything work in this series. I suppose Joker's skills need a 'Joker Begins' story for his actions in TDK to make sense, but I think Joker's seemingly invincible portrayal was meant to be a statement that Batman and Joker have a lot in common.

Just an idea.. but for the sequel, it would be cool if the Riddler was never actually revealed in the movie at all. Sort of like the Saw movies (but with riddles more elaborate than torture devices) or most of Die Hard 3. It would also be a change of pace from the 'charismatic mastermind assisted by his army of henchmen' archetype, that we've seen twice in a row from this series.

  10. That's a lot of cash!

Also, I wonder if Bale and Nolan had in their contract a split of the cash? And just not an out and out salary.
