Thread: TNL's GotM: July 2006

  1. TNL's GotM: July 2006

    Previous entries:
    June 2006: Tie: Half-Life 2: Episode 1 [PC] / Street Fighter Alpha Anthology [PS2]
May 2006 - New Super Mario Bros. [DS]
March 2006 - Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion [360, PC]

It doesn't look like we did a GotM for April. I went back 30 pages and didn't find it, so yeah.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  2. Prey.

I haven't played any of the nominees yet but Dotstream on GBA is really cool and deserves a mention.

  4. My vote goes to Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. I'm not that far into it, but I'm really enjoying it thus far. Tekken looks really good, too, but I haven't played it yet. Pretty weak month overall, though my PSP has been getting a lot of play.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

Wow. After the three previous winners, I don't feel any of these deserve it. Prey is a 7/10, and I haven't played the others yet. I think I'll abstain until I play Tekkend or VP.

  6. In respect to the the bitGenerations titles, I wasn't sure if we took imports into account for the TNL GotM, considering none of the prior months included any. I don't really think we should, in any case, just because I think it's more universal for everyone by having the focus be on domestic releases.

  7. Prey for sure.

  8. The only two of those that I see myself playing are Prey and VP.

Maybe I'll vote near the end of the month.

  9. I voted for Chromehounds. I know it does not get alot of love around here, it's slow paced strategic gameplay is not for everyone but it's online squad gameplay and customization is unrivaled by any other mech game.

Highly recommended for mech junkies. Also don't judge the game on the shity demo/ training level.

  10. Prey is Game of Summer easily.
