Is it the dude there who deals primarily in rebuilding old Sunn gear? He set up Face Down In Shit, and both his work and prices were so unbelievably good it's ridiculous.
To boldly go where lots of men have gone before...

  2. It's called the Speaker Doctor. I'm not sure about the FDIS thing. I met them when they played a show down in Ft Lauderdale and talked with them for a while about Justi and I moving to the Carolinas. There were maybe 5-6 people at the show in a loft of a music store. It was great.
    Boo, Hiss.

  3. OMG!

I'm ON it as soon as I wake up.

  4. Going to pick it up on Saturday.

I forget, either the 50 or 100 was rare I think. Good buy either way. If those speakers are stock, they're all American made. Hell, the whole amp is.

If you have any trouble with it, ship it to me and I'll fix it for free.

edit: I'm not fixing blown tubes or transformers for free. Everything else, sure.

  6. Hey Destin, can I borrow your setup so I can play in Baltimore and Josh can stop wigging out?

here are the songs. Focus on the guitar on the right channel.

The Drones - Dekalb Blues - It subtly comes in, its really quite huge around halfway through

Th Drones - Mothrless Children - The guitar just gets more insane as the song goes on.

What I'm thinking is that its tubes pushed to 11, scooped EQ with extra treblyness. This is the sort of blistering, crunchy overdrive i would commit felonies for.

  8. It sounds like a cranked Twin Reverb. It's got the extra bright trebly/chimy Fender sound to it, but I'm probably completely off.

They use Fenders. Not seeing the amps, maybe go through all the vids and photos

I GOT MY AMPS BACK TODAY! pardon the first two pictures... practice spots aren't exactly known for being brightly lit.

I run my Mosrite into a not quite functional rack tuner (until mr. mykozo buys me a new tuner) and out into both heads. The AD200B goes into the 1x15, the AD30TC goes into the 2x12. These two blended together produce a wonderful sound. Like getting kicked in the balls by Dracula. The peevee is a PA speaker. I've had it since I was 15.

The bass rig is the b25 into the 6x10 and the 4x10. When Rebecca plays she runs into the SVT-3 and into the same cabs. You can see the other PA speaker and the PA head in this pic too.

This is the Concertone. Best guess is its from the late 1940's. This thing has a WILD sound if you crank it all the way up.
