it definitely sucks, but the last two seasons have been pretty crappy and hopefully with only 1 show at a time the stories on Atlantis will get considerably better, like they were on season 1...

Maybe they should've put some staff from Atlantis on SG-1 and killed that instead.

I tried to get into this show but I just couldn't so it getting canned isn't to big of a deal for me. And maybe sci-fi will put some more backing into doctor who now.

Don't count Stargate SG-1 out just yet. Though SCI FI Channel has cancelled the long-running series (story), the show's producers are hard at work looking for a new outlet for the story to continue, executive producer Robert C. Cooper told GateWorld exclusively.

There is still some hope that the show could show up elsewhere. As for Atlantis sucking, the first season was shit, but they really turned it around during season 2. I think it is a worthy spin off now.

My mom loves this show. But, she said after Richard Dean Anderson left it wasn't worth a damn (I countered that they replaced him with a bunch of Farscape actors, which was a better show) and the 200th episode they just had was really the nail in the coffin for the series. She had all the box set DVDs and I only managed to get to about season 5 before I was so bored I nearly wanted to claw my eyes out. So, I'm not too sad to see this go.

I would be pleased with bolstered attention to Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, or Dr. Who. I would lose it (in a good way) if they decided to bring FarScape back (they never did destroy the sets....).

I've never watched one episode of either show.

I don't even think I've seen the entire Stargate movie, just bits and pieces.
