They're vaguely in the same genre, but comparing Gears of War to EDF is like comparing Metal Gear to Crimsonland.Gears of War and Lost Planet and now EDF:X all seem like clones of each other in some form.
I cant help but think that they are making too many similar games in such a short time all on the X360.

Dont take it wrong, I have and like GoW, and am enjoying the Lost Planet Online Demo quite a bit and will probably be buying the full game.

Geometry Wars and Crimsonland are more alike than comparing Metal Gear to them...
Yeah, EDF is pretty much a balls out action game. GOW is more tactical, not much comparison in game design or gameplay, other than the fact that they both have guns.

No idea how accurate the release date of March 20 is, but usually if Gamestop is just guessing at a date they'll put it at the first of the month.

Not too bad. $40, too, nice.

Oh what the fuck? Looks like I'll be saving myself $40.
EDF2 on PS2 was amazing even without co-op. This game is still day one for me.
Fuck this shit. This is the same crap we saw with Lost Planet. I'm not playing through the game 4-5 times just to get some crappy 50 point achievement. To get all six achievements (yes, there are only 6 of them), you'll have to beat every level on every difficulty and unlock all of the weapons.
Add that to the lack of online play and that tells you that you'll probably blow through EDF 3 in about 10 hours.
