    native res of 1920x1080/1080p

    it goes for $3000.

$3000 is still pretty high for a TV. Sure the prices are dropping, but that just means the people who did not want to spend the money for an HDTV will buy the cheaper 720p/1080i tv's rather than a TV of the same size for twice as much. Granted it is a good option to have for those who can use it and or plan to upgrade sometime soon, but honestly, how many people who spent money on an HDTV in the last 2-3 years are gonna throw down another $2000-$3000 just to move up to 1080p. I know I'll be holding on to my TV for a long ass time.

  2. I still don't get why I'd spend $3000 on a luxury item when my current tv displays images just fine as it is. Yeah, I know that hi-def is nicer, but it doesn't change the fact that tv is a luxury. The text in Dead Rising is the first time I've ever really cared about hi-def, and that's more to do with Capcom screwing up than anything else.

barely any people ofcourse. the only reason im getting a new TV is because i need a bigger screen. my current HDTV sony XBR 36" widescreen is a great, but im itching for a 46/50" LCD for gaming/movie watching.

The online experience is the finest one out there with shitloads of maps, several hundred parts to build your mech from and sweet graphics (yea blowing up buildings might not be the prettiest sight out there). Sure the matchmaking can be a bit wonky but the time spent with some friends in CH is the best out there on the 360 imo.

I don't know about Haomaru but I do know that Yoshi and Opaque played through King Kong so there is obviously a difference in taste going on here. Despite that, everyone should give CH a chance. I couldn't find a really good montage but this night time one will have to to, besides, Helmet is atleast decent.

You'll have one by 2009. That's when HD signals will be industry standard.

How is it possible that a montage made the game look even more boring then I thought the demo was?

LCDs can't actually display 1080i, just like CRTs can't display 720p. They signals are converted and yes they look practically the same.

I got a 32" 1080i TV for $1300 about four years ago. The one you posted is far more advanced, yes, but if I get a new TV in the next year or two I'm not going to be spending much more then what I spent before.
