I got it, so far I haven't had to retry so that's been a non issue.

Ruby Red Hot Rod....
To bad the closest CC is in the ghetto.
Steel Wheelz is good enough. tuesday cant come soon enough.
I think you can just put in the code.
Also, I lost a race but God Damn if I didn't have the best time doing it.
Also - The back of the box specifically mentions road rage races, so who knows. Here's the codes:
BESTBUY (Requires A license to use)
GAMESTOP (Requires A license to use)
WALMART (Requires Burnout Paradise license to use)
CIRCUITCITY (Requires A license to use)
Steel Wheels (Requires Burnout Paradise license to use)
Licenses:
D, C, B, A, Burnout Paradise, Burnout Elite
D - requires 2 Wins
C - requires 7 Wins
B - requires 16 Wins
A - requires 26 Wins
Paradise - 45 Wins
Elite - 110 Wins
Hopefully they turn on road rage mode on tuesday or some other goofy shit like that.
Showtime beats the Jesus out of Crash mode. End of story.
I didn't read this anywhere, but I haven't really been looking. There are three types of Cars. Speed (Think Burnout 1/2) Aggression (Takedown) Stunt (Revenge).
The boost is different for each, for instance you can chain burnouts like in the first 2 games with a speed car, but you have to wait for a full bar to begin. Takedowns and traffic checks fill your meter in an Aggression car and they go x2, x4 etc. Drifts, jumps, stunts etc fill your meter in the stunt class cars.
Hey Chuck. Instead of trading in your 360 games when you're done with them you should sell them to me instead. Seriously.
My quick thoughts from the 360 version:
This game fucking rules. That's all there is to it. With the confines of the demo taken away, it really opens up, you don't have to worry about driving down a street into a dead end.
The mountain side area is a blast to fly around, the sense of speed is amazing. So far I really like the world design and layout. Every area offers something different, I hit a jump that had to have sent me off a cliff 100 feet high in the mountains, a total rush. It's a technical marvel with all the shit going on, what loading there is lasts a few seconds. Aside from a framerate stutter here and there (I think 3 times in the time I played, lasted about 1 second each time) it looks and runs amazing. I haven't seen any screen tearing, there's very little pop up, no draw in. The crash physics and damage models are downright amazing, you can fuck up people like you've never seen before.
I'm digging how you unlock cars. When you get a new license you get a new car added to the junkyard, after certain events for a car you get a car upgrade and new cars are introduced into world that when you see, you chase down to get. It's like Marked Man and it's surprisingly fun. You're just cruising along and then whoosh, you'll see the car bop by you and then it's fucking ON as you hurtle after him. And when you have a song playing that you love? Forget it, it's bliss. I haven't had the need to retry anything, so far this has not been an issue. The world map is very good, easy to sort things by event and such so if you want to do a specific event, it's easy to find. The thing is that the core driving mechanic is so good and it controls so well that it is fun to simply drive around doing whatever you want to do. Look for new short cuts, create havoc, drive as fast as you can without crashing etc.
For races, they all end at 1 of 8 places. Each location represents the points of the compass. So while the start point is different, the end location is one of 8 places. It's up to you to get there how you want. The game tells you where to turn to help guide you. Racing is as good as it ever was in any Burnout game. I have 5 cars so far and I like how they are in different classes and how they all feel different. The car choices feel distinct and varied, nice not having 9 cars that look different but are essentially the same.
I haven't really done Showtime (the replacement for crash mode) so I can't comment on it.
So I'm about 45 minutes in, it controls like a dream, the sound design is of typical Critierion standards and it's stupid amounts of fun.
