some of those black girls were cute.

That was an interesting video. Wahida was very pretty and I liked her hair. It did hit home because when I was younger I wished I was white as well. I was made fun of in grade school because I was one of the only black children there. I always wanted blue eyes and blond hair. As I got older I learned to embrace my looks and now I love the way I look. I do get hate from dark skinned black girls though, they think I am stuck up or think I am better than them. I have almost got into fights at clubs many times with black girls who want to get in my face for no reason. Never had a problem with black guys.
To drive home the point of the video, she had the lightest skin out of all of them.
I have seen and heard this many many times.
Guys have to deal with this as well. Even I've had to deal with people assuming I'm conceited or arrogant before they even talk to me. When they would finally get to know me, I'd ask them "what took so long". The top two answers:
1.) because of how I talk
2.) the fact that I'm light-skinned

I'm a "white-washed nigger" because I like books, can speak clearly, don't respond to "hey yo" or "boss," and prefer baseball over basketball.
This'd be amusing were it not true.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and because I don't steal either. Someone trying to rob me called me that one.

This kind of stuff angers me to no end. Aparently, people did not listen to those after school specials and very special episodes of saved by teh friggn bell.
I thought that we were teaching each other to love ourselves, but I guess I was wrong.
Oh and chalk up another for "Yeah, I saw/lived through this when I was younger"

It's just so weird now that we've grown up and can look at things for what they really were/are.
For the most part, it turned out to be jealousy, and this is from people actually admitting it, I'm not trying to sound like a smug asshole. It seems like they were angry or jealous of me for simply being myself rather than conform to "ghetto group" standards, and yeah, I got a lot of shit for it. But in the end, we end up being stronger people because we don't act like something or someone we're not - we simply remain true to ourselves.
