This game looks great but I am disappointed with what's been shown so far. My biggest problem with these "next-gen" games is that there's nothing "next-gen" about the gameplay. This game simply looks like Prince of Persia mixed with Splinter Cell. Even Gears of War wasn't much more than Halo+. Sure, the games are solid and polished but it seems like developers are only taking baby-steps forward with gameplay.

It seems to me that developers are too scared to take risks. Maybe the budgets are too big to experiment these days. But I'm still waiting for something to really blow my mind. With all of the power that these systems have, it's ridiculous that there's nothing absolutely mindblowing at this point.

I'm not seeing what's not next-gen about the procedural movement and AI algorithms here. Not coming to a complete stop like a moron every time you run into an object, NPC or wall has the potential to be the biggest advance in gameplay from this point forward depending on how well developers utilize it.

That might be the stupidest thing I've seen posted on TNL in a very long time.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Yakuza is basically NES Action Football+. They both have people moving around and grass.
