Except the HD-DVD drive is an option, not a built in (and costly) feature like in the PS3.

I'd like a built-in drive for the 360. I don't want any extra things taking up any precious little space I have left. I'd pay $650 for built-in HD-DVD, 250 GB HDD, and TiVo.

no. only $599 pack comes with built in wifi.

btw, is there any confirmation that the PS3 will play PS1/2 games in high definition?

They'll probably be emulated in software with the kind of graphical enhancements you get with Bleemcast or ePSXe. So 3D games will look good, especially on a progressive TV/monitor. 2D PS1 games will probably look blocky like they do through an emulator.

i thought the PS3 has a PS1/2 chip in it....instead of having to emulate through software.
