Those are the ugliest fucking cases ever. If they atleast got rid of the black bar on the side of the cover it would be an amazing improvement.
You have to wonder though, did the brilliant marketing guys behind the old banana controller come up with this idea as well?

It's just like the BR-DVD cases! Which are squat and horrendous! GO SONY GO! I can't wait to find out the next discovery which is completely in left field and doesn't go with the flow.

Very professional, but I'm gonna have to say fake. Notice how the title on the spine runs upward instead of down... I doubt very much that PS3 is going to go against the orientation pretty much every media in recent history has been using. I'm also skeptical that they'd use the PS family logo over a PS3-specific one on the spine, as well.

Actually, another cover was shown with this same cover orientation - so it's probably real.

maybe they're just going with a vertical title now since everyone ripped 'em off with the horizontal one on PS2 and they wanna be different
plus they'd clash with the bluray part of the case if they were horizontal across the top
