I never saw the appeal of the Silver Surfer.

Power Cosmic. Yes he was written horribly at times, but old FF comics and his first series run was unreal. The more recent SS comics suck ... so I'll give ya that.

PLUS HE was Galactus's Herald ... thereby Galactus's coolness rubs off on him.

BTW in that pic how can you not find it cool.

I'd watch the new movie. The first one wasnt great but it had some cool action. At least the action was entertaining unlike boring ass Superman Returns.
(I'm not saying F4 is better, just the action was more fun.)

Why not, though? In a time when we've got Spider-Man's effects making up the majority of the "acting," wouldn't it be a breath of fresh air knowing there's an actual person doing shit on the screen and not a computer image?

this part especially give sme flashbacks of the GG suit in Spiderman. he'll be like a mime on roids.

I just don't like the idea of the mask, he'll look like a silver Carver from Nip/Tuck. I would be more for a mix of Practical effects with CG. I don't know, something tells me that this is going to look stupid.

I'll wait until this hits free Movie-On-Demand (Just like the first). I liked the first, but it was dumb and "superhero" through and through. Effects were top shelf though.

I find it amazing that Hugo Weaving was able to convey so much emotion under the mask in V for Vendetta.... so I guess anything is possible with Silver Surfer.
