the class tore "Statue of Faux" to shreds, none of them grasped how little and how poor quality of footage i had, tossing ideas at me that were not feasable with what i to work with.

The teacher disliked how i zoomed into the two shots to create new compositions, as i knew he would. The director of the footage told me his original idea for the footage, but i could not comprehend what or how he was going to do it, especially with the footage that was provided.

Basically if i turn this concept in as a final cut in 3 weeks i will fail hard. Im going to ask the teacher to extend to me what he had extended to 2 other students, to where their footage was practically unusable and give me the OK to go ahead and use anyones footage in the class to make a short.

Im really just stuck guys. The class had suggested:

-Make the kid look like hes looking for his friend the statue of david, and give more varied shots then just the 2 shots of david i digitally recomposed to not have them overstay their welcome (they are not in the same shot ever in the footage, how can i establish it without it looking like a complete afterthought? Nonetheless the shots are completely uninspired, and boring)

-What the original director was aiming for, which was "Man With The Movie Camera" type of style of shooting on separations.

how can i do THAT with so little that i have?

-Make David just sit there, and have sound effects going through the speakers telling an entirely unrelated story (a murder, a couple having a fight, ect). Except this idea would go entirely against what i was already told that i need more varied shots and the shots i used overstay their welcome, how is just using 1 repeating shot completely different?
