Shit, I forgot that there's no real Puzzle or Platform mode to Nations.
GET UNITED.
United has incorporated everything that Nations Forever has and then some. Nations, awesome though it is, is a tiny fraction of what United Forever has. A few bullet points of United:
* 7 environments instead of 1. Each has its own unique blocks, vehicles, and physics.
* Fully intergrated sharing of levels, replays, etc. Want to see how the guy at the top of the leaderboards did it? Just select him and watch him play. Unlock everything and want more levels? The game will find more based on your preference. Browse integrated online shops, use your Coppers to buy new cars, skins, whatever.
* 4 additional different campaigns. There's a race campaign (which is the rule set Nations uses) but also a Platform Campaign (which is where you have to reach the end in a certain number of tries), a Stunt campaign (think: Tony Hawk with cars) and Puzzle where you're given pieces to build a track and you need to be able to use them to reach the goal in a certain time.
* Backward compatible with tracks from all games in the Trackmania series
Lots of other stuff too. Trust me, the reason Nations is so generous is because they have so much more to offer in United.

Is there a retail version of united that doesn't have starforce? I want a disc version if possible.
Yeah, if you already have Steam installed in your computer, just download the free game from there.
If GTA 4 wasn't coming out in less than two weeks, I probably would buy United. For now, I'll enjoy Nations to help dull the GTA4 wait pain.

This is half-price on Steam for the weekend. Buy it or I'll kill you.
I second that. And I'll kill you deader.
Why not just gift it to all of TNL?
This is an even better price than when it first came out. If you don't buy it now, you officially suck.
Alright, this is the last day of the sale. I saw it on Steam and remembered TNL <3.
Now, someone tell me why this game is so great, please. If it's really that good, I'll bite. I don't see what makes it different from other racers, though.
