I was hoping for a 199 price too, but was expecting it to be 250. Hey, they are throwing in Wii Sports, so I'm happy. I don't think I would have bought the game seperately, but from what I've seen I can have some fun with it, even if they remind me of shareware PC games. After watching that video of the boxing game, I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with that.

Just as soon as EB starts taking preorders (probably next week) I'm putting my cash down on one, and a copy of Metal Slug Anthology.

The price structuring for the virtual console is shit.

$5 a game wouldn't be too bad if you got something more out of it than the rom DRMed to hell and back, but as it is I agree with this. $10 is also way too much to ask for N64 games no matter what.

Too bad the tech isn't what you play - those are just ways to further an already great game. Icing on the cake and whatnot.

Then don't buy it - and no you weren't genuinely excited. The system has from day 1 been touted as "GameCube 2" in visuals so if you were genuinely excited, you would've been even with knowing this.

I knew what the visuals were like. The problem is that when the Cube debuted five years ago it was $200. Now five years later they are taking basically the same technology, adding a motion sensing controller, and attempting to charge $50 more than they did five years ago. If you can't see why that is unacceptable then I can't help you. Although you'd probably be defending them if they were charging $350 for the system so arguing with you is kinda pointless.
