Wow, it's like someone packed all the sneering elitism and hopeless negativity of TNL into one thread! Crazy!

I was hoping Nintendo would go bankrupt and die as recently as their announcement that the Revolution's official name would be Wii, but I'm still more willing to pay them $250+ to dick around with their newest experiment than I am to pay Sony $600+ so they can cram Bluray down my throat. Especially since Nintendo are the ones actually doing a decent job of promoting their shit this time, while Sony's basically coasting on "we've got MGS and Final Fantasy lol".

I agree that Nintendo went a bit overboard on some of the pricing, but fuck it. The Wii's still cheaper than the competiton, and it's actually trying some new shit. I'll bite.

Except most joutnalists have played the wii and liked it.

If E3 came and gone and the wii was hailed as an unplayable peice of shit then maybe your argument would hold Nash, but optimism with some credibity to rely back on is better than pessism with no credibity.
