The only thing that matters are the games. If it weren't true, you wouldn't still play your older systems. Please keep that in mind.
Also, look at the articles on all of the positivity from third party developers. They all seem genuine in their interest to develop for the system, and it's sparking creative ideas from them. This is the key to making the industry stronger. Just making things prettier won't bring people to gaming. Innovation will. DS works. Why won't Wii? Development costs will be much cheaper, and even older franchises will be reinvigorated with the control scheme.
Don't diss it until you've tried it. I see nothing but positives.
He's not right. You can't compare two items, X and Y, and say, well, Y is more expensive so X's price is good. It just makes no sense. That's one of the most blatant fallacies in consumerism I can imagine. Yet unsurprisingly, people do it all the time!
For the people saying it's only $50, that's missing out on a game or two to get the Wii. Price isn't much of a factor to me, but I can see why people are upset about it.
In response to Diff,
Fair enough. But I wasn't saying "Oh the Wii is better just cause of the price." I actually like the idea of a controller like this. Playing FPS's will further immurse you into the game ... if they do it right. I really like Madden's gameplay aspect though. That's why. PS3 sure price is expensive, but none of the games have really wow'd me yet(for the PS3). Serious.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
