Evil Dead: The Musical is a "dis-arm-ingly" riotous musical comedy based on Sam Raimi's 80s cult-classic horror films. It features book and lyrics by George Reinblatt, with music by Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris and George Reinblatt. The production is directed by Christopher Bond and Tony Award winner Hinton Battle, with choreography by Battle.

Evil Dead: The Musical unearths the old familiar story: boy and friends take a weekend getaway at abandoned cabin, boy expects to get lucky, boy unleashes ancient evil spirit, friends turn into Candarian Demons, boy fights until dawn to survive. As musical mayhem descends upon this sleepover in the woods, "camp" takes on a whole new meaning with uproarious numbers like "All the Men in my Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons," "Look Who's Evil Now" and "Do the Necronomicon." Buzzing chainsaws and dancing demons add to the frenzy, slaying audiences with a tale of lust, love and dismemberment.

  2. I've known about this for a while, but I didn't know that it had moved to New York. I was under the impression that it was out of Canada initially. If I were in New York, I'd see it.

  3. AWESOME

Ditto. I think it started in Canada about 5 years ago. I didn't know it moved to NY either. Maybe it will tour like some other plays and I'll actually get a chance to see it like Spamalot.

  6. Fuck Rent.

    Time for a change
