on the official site it says 5 hours for gaming, not 45 minutes.

Ah, it looks like there's a new model out. Thank god. I might get one myself, then.
Guaruntee that 5 hours is optimistic, but it probably gets at least 3 now. Still make sure to have good rechargables.
Why in the world would you get this if you had a PSP?
