My stuff from Play-Asia finally came in today. Awesome haul.
First, I got one of the latest from the Insanity DVD series, The Starting Over Hyper Street Fighter 2. It came with the following (starting clockwise from top-left):
The Insanity DVD has match footage from the recent XMania tournament in Japan. It also has a variety of match videos for both Hyper Street Fighter 2 and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The DVD also has some footage of insane combos for each character (we're talking 10- to 14-hit combos on a game where the norm is usually no more than 4 to 6). It also has a glitch and crazy dip-setting montage for the older SF2 games (including the infamous OG SF2 Guile handcuff glitch) and another crazy combo montage of SF2 Guile, SF2:CE Guile, and SF2Turbo Guile. With all the 100% redizzy combo nonsense Guile was throwing, it's no wonder Capcom updated Street Fighter 2 so many times.
The DVD case also contains a CD of remixed Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo tunes and it's pretty good (it's a little better than the SF2 Tribute Album). I wished it had tracks for Ryu and Balrog, but I'm pleased with what the CD has, except for the Bison track (track list for the curious: Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Fei-Long, Cammy, E. Honda, Guile, Dhalsim, Blanka, Sagat, M.Bison [US]).
Yoga Book Hyper contains frame data for every SF2 character, but it doesn't just show how many frames each move's initiation, duration, and recovery lasts. It also shows the moves' hit boxes that causes a character to hit and a character to be hit. There's some other information like bios for tournament champions, special interviews, a SF2 quiz, and other gameplay knowledge, but it's all in Japanese, so I can't read it.
Finally there's the Omake DVD. It contains the History of XMania from 2000 to 2005, which is essentially more match videos of SSF2Turbo and HyperSF2.
To top everything off, I got Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan for the DS. Only got to try it for a bit, but from what I've played, it's awesome. Even with all the Japanese, I got through the tutorial with no problem.
