Can i create a second XBL gamer tag for a friend?

a friend of mine just got an xbox 360 and i was wondering, is it possible for me to create a name tag for him to access XBL fully, as in download and purchase XBLA content and stuff. If yes, how much would it cost me and would we be able to both log on at the same time?

He's only 17 and doesnt have his own credit card, so im just trying to help him out.

silver memberships are free dude, and gold subscription cards can be bought at just about any store that sells video games (along with ms points cards, which he will need to buy xbla games/other non-free content)

Yah i couldn't find any point cards around at the time, but the genius just called me up telling he just found some cards at a local store! so it's all good now.

but im curiouse to know, would it still be possible for me to create a tag for him had he not found any point cards around, and also use to purchase content?

as long as he has a memory card to transfer the account to his own xbox, you could have made an account for him

Marwan uses Firefox. A year or so ago, he accidentally hid the navigation bar, leaving him helpless to get to any page other than the one he was browsing at the time, The Next Level. Since then, he has been forced to use TNL as his sole source of information, forcing him to create threads with topics such as "Can i create a second XBL gamer tag for a friend...is it possible?", "What is Monitor Refresh Rate?", and "how do i put out the grease fire in my kitchen?"

This is the only plausible explanation as to why he's so god damned shitty at the internet.
