Trailer Park Boys: The Big Dirty

Just wondering if anyone else is looking forward to this coming out on Friday? I won passes to the premiere and afterparty with the cast from the local radio station and am pretty excited as TPB is one of my favourite things on television. Just wondering who is all going to go see it and eventually some impressions.

For some reason the trailer doesn't look as funny as the show. Don't get me wrong; I love the series. But the movie looks like it lost something. What I don't know.

I actually got hooked on the series last year. It's pretty funny.

Brisco, you can rest assured. I was a bit worried myself, as the movie is sort of a retelling of some events of the show, such as Ricky & Lucy getting married and etcetera, but it also adds in new stuff and makes references for people who have followed the show for a while.

the movie was excellent in my opinion, I won't be discussing it until tommroow as no one here has had the chance to see it yet but the after party was amazing, got to meet Lahey, Randy, and Ray. J-Roc MC'd, Thornley opened, then the Big Dirty Band, Bubbles and the Shit Rockers, and Jeremy [drummer from OLP] and J-Roc finsihed the night off with rap. I got to talk to Gord Downie in the theatre breifly, just enough to tell him what his music meant to me and what a part of my life it was, but then at the after party I ended up getting to hang out with the rest of the Hip. All in all it was a great night, and a great movie. Anxious to hear others opinions.
