I know this is the X'th time Dragon's Lair is being re-released in a new form/shape. I struck me as pretty badass that they transferred the original footage from the old reels. Anyone tried this version? (Nick?)
Also, I was wondering if the DL's for hardware DVD players (where you control the game via remote) are worth investing in? It seems so easy...
And to wrap up with a question: Since Dragon's Lair 3D was released for both PS2 and GC (at least in PAL-territories) - which version should I invest in? I was hoping someone perhaps tried both and could relay which version is superior. I'm leaning towards the GC version as it's video output is higher quality than that from the slimline PSTWO.
Don't these play like cock because of the whole DVD access time bullshit?
I mean, maybe they fixed that with the HD players but I really don't know.
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."
I have the first dvd verison of this cause it was like 10 bucks years ago. I can't see anyone wanting to buy that if its more than 10 bucks.
1. The animation looks pretty dated even if its in HD.
2. Once you beat the game, will you seriously play through it more than 3 times?
3. Arcade perfect even had the black screen and then you see what happens next, which is pretty tedious on the hard stages where you die over and over.
Who cares, Dragon's Lair sucks. Don't make excuses.
I played Space Ace on the PS2 last weekend. I was near the end, but it was getting late and I quit. I only paid $9 for it, so it's no big deal for a one time run through.
I wouldn't waste my cash to get an HD version of any of those games though.
I own the originals of DL, DL2 and Space Ace. To me, they are only entertaining from a nasalgic standpoint.
